Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Strizh handles data for the Android messenger application and the strizh.fun service.
Core account data
The Strizh service collects only the data needed to identify the account and keep the application working: the user identifier, username, display name, password credential, device identifier, device name, device model, and push notification token. The password is used only for authentication and is not stored as readable plaintext.
Encrypted user content
Messages, media, files, avatars, calls, groups, and live location data are encrypted by the application before they are stored or routed by the server. The server and the service operator do not have access to the plaintext content of encrypted messages, media, calls, or live location payloads. Plaintext content is available only on the devices of the user and the recipients chosen by that user.
Technical delivery data
The service processes encrypted delivery metadata required to route messages, calls, groups, attachments, receipts, synchronization, and push wake-ups. Push providers such as Google FCM and Huawei Push Kit receive push tokens and limited wake-up payloads needed to notify the device.
Optional diagnostics and feedback
If the user sends feedback or explicitly attaches diagnostics, the service may receive the feedback text, selected attachments, app version, operating system version, device model, and diagnostic logs. Diagnostics are used only for troubleshooting, reliability, and support.
How we use data
We use data to authenticate users, operate encrypted messaging and calls, deliver push notifications, synchronize devices, maintain reliability, investigate feedback, prevent abuse, and support account deletion.
Sharing and sale
We do not sell personal data and do not use advertising SDKs. Encrypted user content is delivered only to the recipients selected by the user. Service providers process data only as needed to host the service, deliver notifications, or maintain the application.
Retention
Account and device data are kept while the account is active. Encrypted pending deliveries and service metadata are retained only as long as needed for delivery, synchronization, security, backup, or legal operation. Feedback and diagnostics are retained while needed to investigate the report.
Account and data deletion
You can delete your account inside the app from settings. If you cannot access the app, use the account deletion page to request deletion. We may need to verify that the request belongs to the account owner before completing it.
